DESCRIPTION:SCSU Eclipse Information Session- August 5\, 2017\n\nThe I.P. Stanbeck Museum & Planetarium presents Solar Saturdays\, a series of hands-on educational activities. Open to everyone*\, Solar Saturdays will inform participants about safe eclipse viewing and provide creative\, fun\, art-related projects.\n\nArts & Crafts in the museum from 10:30AM finishing by 1:30PM.\n\nSafety & Science: Special planetarium programs\, scheduled for 11:00AM and noon\, will cover the science of eclipses and what to expect during the total eclipse of August 21. Weather permitting\, telescopes will be set up outside the museum for direct viewing of the sun.\n\nAdmission is free. Parking is in the lot on the corner of Geathers and Buckley streets\, two blocks from the museum.\n\nCall (803) 516-4753 for more information or to register.\n\n*Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
